NexGen® Complete Knee Solution Legacy® Constrained Condylar Knee (LCCK)
The NexGen LCCK, a posterior stabilized implant, is intended for patients who,
in the physician's judgement, require additional joint stabilization due to
inadequate joint stability and ligament function. The LCCK is frequently used
for patients undergoing a "revision" or surgery to replace an existing knee
joint replacement. The LCCK is designed to help accommodate activities that
require at least 0-125 degrees of flexion such as, walking, sitting, and
climbing stairs. Patients must have the ability and desire to perform these
types of activities after having knee joint replacement surgery.NexGen LCCK Case Study
The x-rays shown are from a 72-year-old female, a candidate for revision
total knee replacement surgery who was diagnosed with multiple, recurrent
infections of the right knee. Postoperatively, the patient, upon recovery,
had a range of motion after rehabilitation of 0-105 degrees. Note: This case
study represents the outcome of only one patient and results may vary.
